A Note
I knew I wanted a physical sunscreen because chemical sunscreens were a trigger for me – they made me break out. But there wasn’t a physical sunscreen that worked on all skin tones. When we made Umbra, we tested it on every skin colour, from very fair to very dark, to make sure it worked on everyone. It wasn’t easy to get the formula just right, but it was really important to me that anyone could use it and not have that pasty look of sunscreen on their skin. Then I packed it with antioxidants to make sure that it nourished the skin too.
