A Note
Early in my skincare research, I learned that dry skin is different from dehydrated skin. The former lacks oil and the latter lacks water. And skin needs both. I wanted a water-based hydrating serum that you could mix with marula oil, so the skin gets both moisture and hydration. Hyaluronic acid was super popular around the time we were formulating Drunk Elephant B-Hydra™, but it sits on top of the skin. That’s why B-Hydra uses sodium hyaluronate – a version of hyaluronic acid that penetrates the skin and delivers intense hydration.
